2025 Meetings

ZeWIF: Absraction Discussion (March 2025)

The third meeting for ZeWIF for Zcash talked about the work to date on the Zmigrate tool and the continued work needed to define the abstractions for ZeWIF.

GDM: Post-Quantum Cryptography (March 2025)

Gordian Developers Meeting with presentation from Foundation on QuantumLink for Passport Prime and from Blockchain Commons on PQC in the BC Rust stack.

ZeWIF: Zmigrate Demo (February 2025)

Excerpt from the second meeting for the ZeWIF group, featuring a first demonstration of the Zmigrate utility for converting Zcash wallet data to the ZeWIF format.

ZeWIF: Zcash Wallet Data Survey (January 2025)

The first ZeWIF meeting focused on the initial data collection phase of the project, with discussion of levels of content being collected and what was considered particularly critical.

2024 Meetings

FROST: Developers Meeting II (December 2024)

The second FROST Developers Meeting featured an Intro to FROST as well as presentations on "FROST for the Masses", the "FROST Uniffi SDK", and "FROST Federation Progress".

GDM: Identifiers (November 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting focused on decentralized identifiers, with presentations on "Cliques & Edge Identifiers" and on "XIDs".

FROST: Implementers Meeting II (September 2024)

The second FROST Implementers Meeting allowed six different teams to share their progress: ChillDKG, Frost Federations, secp256k1-zkp, Serai DEX, FROST Uniffi SDK, and ZF FROST.

GDM: Seeds (August 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting focusing on seeds, the crucial foundation of crypto-security, including a look at the work on BIP-85 and at the Ledger Seed Tool app, using SSKR.

GDM: GSTP (July 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting focusing on the Gordian Sealed Transaction Protocol, a way to use Gordian Envelope to securely transmit sensitive data using insecure & unreliable transport mechanisms.

GDM: PayJoin & Request/Response (May 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting with special presentations on PayJoin and the Request/Response system for Gordian Envelope.

FROST: Developers Meeting I (April 2024)

The initial FROST meeting for wallet developers was combined with the April 2024 Gordian Meeting. It featured an intro to FROST from Jesse Posner as well as discussions of Gordian Advancements and Wyoming legislation.

Foremembrance: 2024 Memorial (March 2024)

A special presentation by Christopher Allen remembering the burning of the Amsterdam Identity Archives on March 27, 1943 as part of the World War II identity tragedy.

IETF: Hashed Data Elision Presentation (March 2024)

A special presentation by Shannon Appelcline for IETF 119 about the importance of hashed data elision for privacy and data security.

GDM: GST, Metadata, NFCs (February 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting with a demo of the Gordian Seed Tool 1.6 release and discussions of metadata in Gordian Envelopes and NFC usage.

GDM: Multi-Part UR Guide (January 2024)

Gordian Developers Meeting debuting the Multi-part UR Implementation Guide.

2022-2023 Major Meetings

FROST: Implementers Meeting I (November 2023)

The initial FROST Implementers meeting was the first opportunity for FROST implementers to discuss their work. The major focus was on the ZF FROST and secp256k1-zkp projects.

Silicon Salon IV: Filling in the Gaps (May 2023)

The fourth Silicon Salon offered a potpurri of topics, filling in some of the gaps from previous Salons, including presentations on how to ensure a hardware wallet is avoiding key leakage and how to better enable biginteger operations in silicon.

Silicon Salon III: Multi-Party Computation & More (January 2023)

The third Silicon Salon expanded the community of crypto-wallet developers and semiconductor manufacturers to also include the halls of academia.

Silicon Salon II (September 2022)

The second Silicon Salon focused on secure boot, supply-chain security, and firmware upgrades.

Silicon Salon I (June 2022)

The first Silicon Salon featured presentations by Christopher Allen, Bryan Bishop, CrossBar, Proxy, Tropic Square, and Libre-SOC to introduce the issues of cryptography and silicon chips.
